Rory Smith is a football reporter for the Times, largely covering London, though he is occasionally granted leave to return to his ancestral homeland in the north or allowed to indulge his interest in all things European. He has previously worked for the Mirror, Sunday Mirror, the Daily Telegraph and the Independent, as well as The Blizzard, Well Red and FourFourTwo – but was refused work experience at the Wetherby News.
