“Steve Evans is a nasty, poisonous little man”

With the revolving door still recovering from him bursting into Rotherham HQ just a few short months ago, Steve Evans has already brought something of a public stink to his tenure. He was accused of exposing himself to a female steward and has been hit with a six-match stadium ban for using abusive and insulting words and behaviour with a reference to gender. The Life’s a Pitch team lean back, shake their heads, puff out their cheeks and go to work.

Footballer-turned-journalist Adrian Clarke wastes little time in making his feelings for the Rotherham boss unbelievably clear: “Steve Evans, this has been coming for a long, long time. He’s a nasty, poisonous little man – I despise the guy. He helped to get me sent off once – I was stamped upon, I got into a jostle with the player and Steve Evans was on the sideline swearing at the ref, saying I had to go. He’s just that kind of character – he rubs people up the wrong way.”

John Cross of the Daily Mirror is equally reluctant to sit on the fence when it comes to Evans. “He was accused of dropping his trousers in the direction of a female – once you’re in that kind of realm, how can people justify having you at the club? Surely Rotherham have got to have a look at that? It’s disgraceful.”

And then windmilling in from a distance comes Jason Burt of the Sunday Telegraph, concerned that Rotherham may have made a big mistake in poaching Evans from Crawley. “It doesn’t look like a marriage made in heaven, for the reasons already outlined and because results aren’t going their way. Question marks will be raised to the board and the chairman as to why they hired him in the first place.”

What a load of rubbish!! Results arn’t going RUFC’s way?? We are 6 games into the season, and have been playing some good stuff. Lazy journalism, and letting their own feelings cloud the issue. Ask many Mllers, and they will say it was a good appointment, and he has really started well. As Evans himself says, people will try & throw bombs into our camp. We need to keep strong, build an ‘Us against them’ mentaility and let’s see what it takes us. UTM

Adrian Clarke is clueless, there’s no way that fat red c**t is a little man, has he not seen the size of him for Christ sake.
