“Liverpool are in danger of becoming a one-man team”

Love him or loathe him, Luis Suárez is a very good footballer. Despite the recent attention on his propensity to go to the ground, he’s already bagged seven goals and continues to terrorise opposition defences for Liverpool. Here, footballer-turned-journalist Adrian Clarke explains why he believes Liverpool are becoming too dependant on their ebullient Uruguayan striker.

“They are in danger of becoming a one-man team,” says Adrian. “Steven Gerrard is now past his best, so they are very, very reliant on Suárez.

“If he’s on his game, if he fancies it, if he’s in the mood, Liverpool can destroy anybody. But if he’s not ticking, if he’s not firing on all cylinders, where are the other goals going to come from? Who’s going to get them going?

“You’ve seen them dominate so many teams already this season, but they are unable to break them down. And I think that’s down to a lack of quality around Suárez, I really do.”

    Here we go again.
Show me your One Man Team pieces about other teams?
Of course, Arsenal were not a one man team last season when RVP saved them time after time. United weren’t a one man team when Ronaldo scored 40 goals in a season and did the same
It’s tiresome. Yes, Suarez is our only world class threat going forward at the moment. But that doesn’t make us a one man team

A very poor piece of journalism. We have a very strong core to our team under BR. We are an exceptionally young side and in Lucas, Allen, Shelvey, Sterling, Suso etc. we have players who are only going to get better. We out-played City and UTD and you could argue that if Suarez had taken more of his chances this year (created by the team around him) then we would be higher up the table. Why are journalists so quick to be critical of Liverpool?

It is very dangerous if LFC only depend to Luis Suarez (LS7)lonely score the goal.We need to bring more strikers for solving goal scorer issue.Or maybe B.Rodgers let the young players to step up into senior team.Get involve many young players as you can.Want to look young players growing up with good planning.Samed Yesil,Adam Morgan and Oussama Assaidi must be playing with often to get big experiance.
